This book is very research heavy, but provide important insight on how students learn, and what we can do to help nurture the necessary skills to be lifelong learners! This book has become a requirement for freshmans entering college because sadly, many of them are not prepare for the college academic life. And so that have to take pre-req courses to learn how to learn. I highly, highly recommend this book!
Teach Yourself How to Learn: Strategies You Can Use to Ace Any Course at Any Level by Saundra McGuire
This book is more for the student. A good idea would be to read along with your student for accountability and to help reinforce and understand how to help your child!

I bought this book during my graduate school years, and really changed my perspective on math! God is revealed in every part of our lives if we know how to look. This is a great resource that approaches math concepts from elementary all the way to the high school years with a Biblical worldview. It is not a curriculum. It’s a resource for the educator to help students make those biblical connections during their math lessons!
